Last week, ten contracts were signed at $4 million and above, which was one less than the previous week.

The No. 1 contract was 9/10 at 27 East 79th Street, asking $12.495 million. The duplex condo has 3,006 square feet, and includes 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. The apartment is in a new 15-story condo that has only 7 units. The finishes and appliances include cerused-oak kitchen cabinets and a La Cornue stove, white oak parquet de Versailles flooring, and P.E. Guerin fittings all throughout the units. With only one unit remaining, four out of the six buyers are foreign.

The No. 2 contract was 14A at 301 East 80th Street, asking $6.65 million. This corner unit has 2,615 square feet, and includes 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The amenities of this new condo building, Beckford Tower, include a concierge, fitness center, a 65-foot lap pool, a spa pool, half-court basketball, a children’s playroom, a lounge, and a game room.

Although the number of contracts is the lowest in post-Labor Day week since 2013, many buyers are recognizing the incredible opportunity to buy homes as interests rates are low, further reinforcing their confidence in the real estate market and the city.
